Miguel A. Núñez, Jr. was born in New York City in August 1964 and was one of eight children. After growing up and graduating high school in Wilson, North Carolina he moved to Los Angeles in hopes of becoming an actor. His first acting role was in the comedy What’s Happening, which he got after he met actor Ernest Thomas. He is very active in Los Angeles community helping the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission through his Sparks Hope for the Holidays Program. His career has skyrocketed over the years with appearances in many movies including the starring role in the 2002 Warner Brothers movie Juwanna Mann. His television credits include the co-starring role of Detective Sam Sullivan in Warner Brothers series Tarzan as well as guest roles in several television shows including Bernie Mac, My Wife & Kids and Boomtown. Miguel also served as co-writer and co-producer in the 1996 film Homeboys in Outer Space.
